Honey Ginger Tea

For the addictive tea drinkers who are worried about the excess sugar intake that such tea drinking entails, the ultimate recipe has arrived. Make your tea healthy and light with a pinch of ginger and some honey.


  • 1 (1-inch) piece fresh ginger, peeled
  • 1 regular-size green tea bag
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup boiling water


  • Grate ginger, using the large holes of a box grater, to equal 1 Tbsp.
  • Squeeze juice from ginger into a teacup and discard solids.
  • Place tea bag, lemon juice, and honey in teacup and add boiling water.
  • Cover and steep 3 minutes.
  • Remove and discard tea bag, squeezing gently.
