In a grand presentation ceremony, attended by important Government Dignitaries, Diplomats and Industry leaders, KBC was presented the first such certificate, thus again making a start to a new era of honey traceability program from “Farm to Fork.”
Mr. NM Kejriwal, Chairman, Kejriwal Group said,“This is an incredible honor and a very special achievement, being in the food industry for the last 45 years, being the first organized honey exporter from India in 1995, and the first ISO 22000 accredited Honey Processor & Packer in India as well. The TSH certification would help reinstate confidence in Indian Honey and validate the livelihood of the 2.5 lakhs beekeepers and their families in India. ”
We pledge to protect our customers and consumers, as well as the global reputation of honey products, by ensuring to our utmost ability that honey is ethically sourced in a transparent and traceable manner from known beekeepers and importers; that honey moves through the supply chain in full accordance with U.S. law and without circumvention of trade duties; that it carries truthful labeling as to its source, has been tested to ensure quality, and has been handled in a safe and secure manner from hive to table.
The True Source Certification will help to identify and certify that the honey is as per the expectations of Government, Industry and Consumers: Fully traceable, high quality pure honey of Indian origin.
True Source Certified serves as a means to clearly identify and differentiate honey of Indian origin, to preserve the image of Indian honey and that of legitimate beekeepers and exporters.
The certification will not only help in protecting the image and value of high quality Indian honey, but also increase consumer confidence.
True Source True Source Certified also appears to meet the intent of the Food Safety Modernization Act, which was recently passed in the United States.
